This Refund Policy outlines how refunds are handled for bookings made through the Elenavacations platform. By completing a booking, you acknowledge and agree to the terms described below.
General Refund Principles
Elenavacations acts as a booking intermediary between travelers and third-party service providers such as airlines and travel suppliers. Refund eligibility is governed primarily by the fare rules and policies set by those providers.
Not all bookings are eligible for refunds.
Refund Eligibility
Before Ticket Issuance
If a booking is canceled prior to ticket issuance, a refund may be possible. Any approved refund will be subject to applicable administrative charges, payment processing fees, and supplier conditions.
After Ticket Issuance
Once tickets have been issued, most fares are non-refundable.
If a fare permits refunds, the amount returned will be determined by the airline’s rules, minus any applicable service or handling fees.
Airline-Initiated Changes
If an airline cancels a flight, makes a significant schedule change, or discontinues service, refund eligibility will be assessed according to the airline’s policies. In such cases, Elenavacations will assist in submitting refund requests where permitted.
Approval, timelines, and refund amounts remain at the sole discretion of the airline.
Non-Refundable Items
The following are typically not refundable:
- service or booking fees charged by Elenavacations
- partially used tickets
- no-show bookings
- ancillary services (such as seat selection or baggage) unless the airline allows otherwise
Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds are processed back to the original form of payment. Processing timelines vary by airline, supplier, and financial institution and may take several billing cycles to reflect.
Elenavacations does not control the speed at which banks or card issuers post refunded amounts.
Chargebacks & Disputes
Initiating a chargeback without first allowing the refund process to complete may delay resolution. Chargebacks that contradict airline fare rules or confirmed booking terms may be disputed.
Force Majeure Events
Refunds related to extraordinary circumstances such as natural disasters, government restrictions, or airspace closures are subject entirely to supplier policies. Elenavacations does not guarantee refunds in such situations beyond what is authorized by the provider.
Partial Refunds
If only part of a booking is eligible for refund, the refundable amount will be calculated in accordance with fare rules and supplier deductions. Service fees may remain non-refundable.
Final Determination
All refund decisions are based on fare conditions, supplier policies, and regulatory requirements. Elenavacations’s role is limited to facilitating eligible refund requests and communicating outcomes.
